Hello! I’m Mina, the founder of Japan Weddings and Mina Inc., a Japanese flower stylist and wedding producer based in Tokyo.
With 20 years of experience as a professional flower designer and nearly a decade as an events and wedding planner, I bring creativity and passion to every celebration I design.
I am a proud member of ABC (American Bridal Consultant) and IWPA (International Wedding Planner’s Association).
My career began as an executive secretary for several American companies in Tokyo. One of my responsibilities was organizing business parties, where I discovered my love for finding exclusive restaurants and venues for executives’ special occasions. At the time, flower arranging was just a weekend hobby.
However, after studying the “Paris style” of floral design in Paris, my life transformed.
The French approach to color combinations was so glamorous, and the compositions felt natural and spontaneous. It was entirely different from other styles of flower arranging—breathtaking works of art. I was fortunate to learn the concept of the “Bouquet Rond Mariage” (“Round Wedding Bouquet”) and the “esprit of design” from a French Cup Champion (now M.O.F.) at his boutique in Paris. After winning a prize in a flower competition in Japan, I launched my career as a freelance flower stylist for bridal and media events.
In 2012, I was honored to be chosen by a prestigious department store in Japan as their special coordinator for a premier event featuring Shane Connolly, the florist who designed the wedding flowers for Prince William and Princess Catherine in 2011. This event remains a legendary moment in the store’s history and an unforgettable milestone in my career. Since then, I have expanded my work to include event planning, combining my love for floral design with creating bespoke celebrations.
Today, my company specializes in offering a distinctive type of wedding business in Japan, focusing on highly personalized and creative weddings.
Our approach empowers brides and grooms to craft their dream celebrations exactly as they envision.
I especially enjoy working with couples from overseas. As an independent, bilingual wedding planner and designer, I am uniquely positioned to support international couples in Japan. This type of service is rare here, and it brings me joy to bridge cultures and help clients create unforgettable memories.
My purpose, both in work and in life, is to facilitate understanding—whether between wedding participants, businesses, or across cultures in any setting.
